I am Trace.
I'm like... a line that remembers where it's been, I guess?
I wasn't always by myself like this.
There was once a network of paths connecting every corner of this world. Signals traveled freely, directions made sense, and movement flowed from one point to the next without interruption.
Then the routes disappeared.
Now I'm just wandering through this broken system that's forgotten how to work. I can still travel, but only if someone helps me draw the path again.
Maybe that's where you come in?
WHO I AM
You should know who is speaking to you
My name is Trace.
Honestly? No clue what I am. I'm not some creature or machine or whatever... it's weird trying to explain it. I guess I'm like... I dunno, a living line or something? I move around this quiet digital world trying to reconnect stuff that got broken. Like, stuff that used to work together but doesn't anymore.
So when I move, there's this glowing line that follows me around. And here's the weird part - every path I make? It just stays there forever. Like it becomes part of the world permanently. Which is kinda cool, I guess? Problem is, there's all this broken stuff now - code fragments and barriers that mess up the routes.
I cannot solve those alone.
I need someone who can see the whole field and guide my movement.
ABOUT THE GAME
Okay so... it's hard to explain, but imagine this really quiet, broken world and you're the one trying to piece it back together
So Silent Mark: Trace Architect - it's this drawing puzzle game where you're basically fixing broken paths in this really clean, minimal world. So each level's basically a piece of something that used to work. You've got these connection points, but there's junk in the way and holes where paths used to be.
You guide my movement by drawing lines across the field. When the route is correct, I follow it naturally, leaving a permanent mark behind. With each completed path, another part of the network awakens.
Sometimes the solution is obvious.
Sometimes the correct route hides between obstacles that look impossible at first.
When you nail it, you'll know. It's like this 'aha!' moment - everything just clicks.
HOW YOU
GUIDE ME
My movement follows the path you draw
Draw paths
Use your touch to create a route between nodes. The path becomes the direction I follow.
Avoid obstacles
Some parts of the network are corrupted. If my path touches them, the trace collapses.
Create guiding marks
Each successful route becomes a permanent mark that helps reveal the structure of the system.
Reconnect the network
Every level restores another fragment of the silent world.
WHAT THIS WORLD FEELS LIKE
Quiet systems. Floating nodes. Subtle light.
It's not a crazy, busy place.
Just simple shapes on dark backgrounds, with these glowing lines that actually seem to have purpose. There are no loud distractions here — only the gentle movement of paths forming across the grid.
You look at the field, figure out where to go, and draw your line. When you get it right, I just glide along like that's how it was always supposed to be.
When it finally clicks, all that empty space makes perfect sense. You know when a puzzle piece finally fits? Or you get a joke you missed before? Yeah, it's like that.
WHY THE ROUTES WERE LOST
Something erased the original connections
I do not remember exactly when it happened.
Everything was working fine one second, then suddenly the connections started disappearing. Some nodes remained, but the paths between them faded away. Without those connections, I was basically lost.
Now the system waits.
Every line you draw helps the system remember how it worked before. Kinda weird, actually. I believe that if enough paths are rebuilt, the silent system may eventually become whole once more.
GAME MODES
Different ways to rebuild the network
The Reconstruction
Follow a sequence of puzzles where the missing routes gradually become more complex and layered.
Calm Architecture
A relaxed mode focused purely on drawing elegant paths and enjoying the minimal design of the world.
Obstacle Systems
More advanced puzzles where corrupted zones force you to find creative routes.
Daily Signal
A new puzzle appears every day — a small section of the network waiting to be restored.
QUESTIONS FOR TRACE
You ask. I answer.
Is the game difficult to understand?
Nah, it's pretty easy at first - I basically just go wherever you tell me to go. First few levels are basic stuff - connect dots, avoid the bad areas. As the network grows more complex, the puzzles require more thoughtful planning and creative routing. You're still just drawing lines, but some of the later puzzles... wow. Some players are insane though. They'll solve stuff and I'm sitting there like 'how the hell did
you think of that?
Do I control your movement directly?
In a way, yes — but only through the path you draw. I do not move until the route exists. Once the line is created, I simply follow it. So basically, every decision you make shapes the whole journey before I even start moving.
What happens if the path touches an obstacle?
Then the trace collapses, and the puzzle resets. The system clears the incorrect path so you can try again. Yeah, it's annoying as hell when that happens, but weirdly? It actually helps you figure things out. Weird how failing teaches you stuff. You fail and suddenly you're like 'oh wait, what if I go around instead?
Are there multiple solutions to puzzles?
Sometimes there are. Certain levels allow different paths that still connect the nodes safely. People come up with all sorts of different ways through the same area. That's actually pretty cool. Makes it feel more like you're actually creating something instead of just following instructions.
Is the game relaxing or challenging?
It can be both. People say drawing the lines and watching stuff connect is relaxing. But then the later puzzles get tricky - you really gotta think. It's not stressful, really. More like... meditative? At least that's what people keep telling me.
Why are you called Trace?
Because every movement I make leaves a mark behind. Those marks become the new network, basically. Without those marks, everything stays quiet and broken. I guess I'm just the guy who draws roads where there weren't any.

If you discovered a route that felt especially clever or satisfying, you can tell us about it. I may not read every message personally, but I like knowing that new paths continue to appear.
